Safe Haven Ministries exists for the person who has run out of options — and for the person who is not sure they deserve one more. We are a ministry, so we pray. We are outreach, so we show up. What we are not is a place that asks you to prove yourself at the door.
Homelessness, addiction, a past due light bill, a family falling apart — these rarely arrive one at a time. So we help with the whole tangle: rent and utility assistance, recovery support, GED classes, and help finding work. Whole person, for as long as it takes, with dignity rather than pity.
How we help
Practical help for the crisis in front of you
Shelter & Basic Needs
A warm meal, dry clothes, and someone who will sit with you while you figure out the next step. No lecture, no conditions.
Rent & Utility Help
Help with past due rent, water, and light bills — because a shutoff notice or an eviction letter can undo everything else in a week.
Recovery Support
Walking alongside people in recovery for the long haul — the good weeks and the hard ones — with encouragement and honest company.
Families in Crisis
When a family is coming apart, small help arrives fast: practical support, prayer, and a steady presence that does not disappear.

We offer GED classes for anyone working toward their diploma — no judgment about how long it has been since you were in a classroom.

We help people find work — pointing you toward openings we hear about, and helping with the parts of a job search that are hard to do from a shelter.

How it works
Why we do this
A haven is not a building. It is a promise kept.
Anyone can hand out a meal once. What changes a life is somebody who is still there next week, and the week after, when the crisis has stopped being urgent to everyone else.
That is the work: keeping the lights on for a family, sitting with someone through a hard month, helping somebody pass their GED and find a job — and holding the door open long enough for them to walk through it in their own time.
